Itinerary

Meet and greet by Akagera aviation Team at Kigali International Airport and thereafter be met by Primate safaris team for a quick brief about your upcoming safaris. Embark on a 08hrs drive to Nyungwe National Park via Butare; the second largest city of Rwanda. En-route Visit the Kings palace which is in Nyanza District and the seat of the feudal monarchy and afterward visit the Butare National Museum Which Houses the finest ethnographic Collection in East Africa. Lunch will be served at Ibis Hotel in Butare. Thereafter Proceed to the Lodge for check-in, Dinner and Overnight. Overnight at One & Only Nyungwe House /FB

Early breakfast at your lodge. 0430 hrs: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park offices. 0500 hrs: Hike into Nyungwe Forest, the natural habitats for a huge population of Chimps. Chimpanzees are great apes that are closely related to humans. During the morning's walk we are also likely to encounter troops of primates. Nyungwe Forest hosts these intelligent primates who are an endangered species. After the trek, you will return to the Lodge for Lunch and in the afternoon embark on the canopy walk activity. The Canopy walk in Rwanda is an exhilarating experience done in Rwanda’s Nyungwe National park on a suspended bridge 70m High above the great Nyungwe Forest. This guided walk is also on a 160m Long walkway that takes about 02hrs on this suspended bridge. After the walk return to the Lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Early Breakfast at the lodge 0430 hrs: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park offices. 0500 hrs: Hike into Nyungwe Forest, the natural habitats for a huge population of Colobus Monkeys. The Black and White Angolan Colobus Monkeys in Nyungwe Forest are also known as Ruwenzori colobus monkeys and are the biggest troop of the monkeys in the park. Their number ranges from 350-400 individuals. They are also the biggest troop of the Colobus monkeys in the other troops of African countries. After the trek, you will go back to the lodge for lunch and then in the afternoon embark on a 04hrs drive to the Beautiful shores of lake kivu and arrive in Gisenyi for dinner check-in and overnight. After a leisure breakfast and Lunch at the Lodge, drive to the northern end of Lake Kivu and then to Kinigi for approximately 01hr. Arrive at One & Only Gorilla’s Nest for check-in, Dinner and overnight. Overnight at One & Only Gorilla’s Nest /FB

Enjoy Your early breakfast at your Lodge At 6:00a.m Pick from the lodge and Transfer to the Volcanoes National Park Headquarters for Registration, and briefing on Gorilla trekking.  Trekking mountain gorillas may take between 2hrs 6hrs and once you allocated them, you will only have one hour to view them and take photos. After trekking, you will be transferred back to the Lodge to freshen up and Lunch, and afterward embark on a 03hrs back to Kigali City for an Overnight Overnight at Kigali Serena Hotel /BB

Enjoy breakfast at your Hotel Afterward transfer to Kigali International Airport for your international departure.
